As the newly appointed president of a railway company, you have one year to lay the tracks and guide the Presidential Train safely to its goal.
In the 19th century, Presidential decree appoints you President of the Transcontinental Railroad.
Within one year of taking office, you must deliver the Presidential Train to the West Coast. To extend the line without bankruptcy, you must board the A-Train yourself to direct construction from the front lines and manage all operations. Poor planning leads to inevitable failure. The success of this entire mission rests on your shoulders.
The departure bell has rung.
This simulation game was originally released by ARTDINK in 1985. While the series is associated with urban development—laying tracks and transporting passengers to grow a city—the original "A-Train" is somewhat different. Your objective is to lay tracks and safely guide the Presidential Train to its destination.
Within a one-year timeframe, you must manage your railroad and earn sufficient funds to keep the Presidential Train moving toward the goal. The game ends if the train crashes, your company goes bankrupt, or 365 days pass. With its unique blend of management and puzzles, this title remains legendary. Why not experience the origins of this iconic series?
